Hosted by WWF, Greenpeace, the Marine Conservation Society, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, ClientEarth, OCEAN2012 and nef (new economics foundation), please join us at 6pm today to share our vision for European Fisheries, and the initial reactions to the European Commission’s proposal for the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy via this live blog and feed.

Richard Benyon, the UK fisheries minister, will be issuing the UK government’s official reaction and objectives for the reform process. The evening will also be filmed and televised as part of the BAFTA award winning documentary Hugh’s Fish Fight, with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall outlining the role this campaign has played in the reform process.
