In an amazing turn around, the local leaders of Ulsan, Korea have agreed to allow our 'Whale Embassy' volunteers to stay near the site of a planned whale meat factory - just hours after telling them to leave or face the "consequences".

In June 2005, during the lead up to the 20th anniversary of the bombing of Rainbow Warrior I in Auckland harbour, its successor set sail for the international waters around New Zealand to help defend deep sea life.
'Wind Power in the UK', a report from the Sustainable Development Commission (SDC), confirms that a rapid expansion of UK wind energy is essential to reduce carbon emissions and thereby minimise the potentially catastrophic impacts of climate change.
Early this morning 35 Greenpeace volunteers shut down the assembly line making gas-guzzling Range Rovers. Urban 4x4s made at this site are wrecking the climate.

Our 'Whale Embassy' volunteers in Ulsan, Korea have just received a threatening letter telling them to vacate the site within 24 hours or face the "consequences".

Greenpeace volunteers fitted solar panels to John Prescott's roof and hung a huge banner across his house this morning that says: Oi 2 Jags! Hit targets, not voters.

In May Greenpeace closed our Forest Rescue Station (FRS) located at Inari, Lapland, having achieved our objective of temporarily ending logging on valuable forest lands and in anticipation of talks on the future of the forests that were scheduled for June.

Our campaign to stop National Lottery funded projects using endangered rainforest timber took another step forward on 21st March when the Heritage Lottery fund agreed to source all timber from legal and well-managed sources for projects they fund.
