Don't miss the Alistair McGowan railshow!

Impersonator extraordinaire, Airplotter and all-round funny man Alistair McGowan is shortly embarking on a nationwide tour of Britain, and he's going to great lengths to make it as green as possible. Alistair is a long-time Greenpeace supporter, and has committed himself to playing a key role in opposing aviation expansion by jointly buying the Airplot with us - the piece of land we acquired slap bang in the middle of the proposed new third runway development site at Heathrow Airport.

As such he's determined to make the environmental impact of his tour as minimal as possible - he’ll be travelling around by train, for example, and the tour posters have been printed using non-toxic inks. They'll be carrying the legend, "I support Greenpeace... Will you?"

The tour, entitled The One And Many, kicks off on 7 October, and he'll be playing 40 towns and cities all over the country. As well as impersonations, the show promises "observations, poetry and romance, animals and surrealism, love and anger, wordplay and greenery". Where possible our active supporters will be on hand to sign up people both to Airplot and to Greenpeace, all with Alistair's blessing.

If you fancy a chance to see him in action, you can book tickets online right here.

And if you haven't already - sign up to Airplot today and  say NO to aviation expansion »

About Joss

Bass player and backing vox in the four piece beat combo that is the UK Greenpeace Web Experience. In my 6 years here I've worked on almost every campaign and been fascinated by them all to varying degrees. Just now I'm working on Peace and Oceans - which means getting rid of our Trident nuclear weapons system and creating large marine reserves so that marine life can get some protection from overfishing.
