Glastonbury may be taking a breather this year but we’ll still be out and about on the festival circuit, meeting and greeting, getting back to nature and letting you know how you can help Greenpeace defend it.
First up we’ll be at Nova in West Sussex on 5-8 July where we’re presenting our upcoming Save the Arctic campaign. You’ll be able to dress up as an Arctic explorer, see how they lived and send off your picture asking friends to join you on your journey as an Arctic Defender. Watch out, too, for a visit from Paula Bear. Any children who visit can listen to Arctic stories or help the endangered wildlife in the Arctic by adopting one of the animals and painting pictures, making masks or designing flags that can help in the campaign.
Next we’re visiting Latitude on 12-15 July. We’ll be back in our camp in the woods this year where you can join us for another Over The Top adventure in the trees. Wild play starts here bringing young people together with trees, scramble nets and zip lines to provide a high-energy, action-based experience.
Test your survival instincts and join in the Bushcraft workshops with the Canoeman. Sessions include lighting fires without matches, back-country cookery and bread-making on a campfire, plus how to build a shelter using natural materials.
Our Arctic campaign will also be the featured at the Vintage Festival in Northamptonshire on 13-15 July, and at WOMAD in Wiltshire on 26-29 July.
If you're going to any of these festivals, do stop by and say hello - we'd love to see you!
