For a long time organisations like Greenpeace, backed by people like you, have been calling for stronger protection of our oceans.

Last week showed our voices were heard. The Australian environment minister Tony Burke announced what is a genuinely significant step forward for ocean protection, not only for Australia, but in global terms.

Activists in London; activists around the world rallied to support a full veto of the new Forest Code

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff tried to create the illusion last week that she was vetoing the very worst parts of Brazil's new Forest Code to protect the Amazon rainforest. The reality, however, is entirely different.

Junking the Jungle: how KFC is driving rainforest destruction in Indonesia

Our research has revealed that KFC is sourcing paper for its packaging products from rainforests. This has been confirmed in China, the UK and Indonesia. Products found to contain rainforest fibre include cups, food boxes, French fries holders, napkins and the famous chicken buckets.
