Save the Arctic polar bear
Aurora is coming
Join the Arctic uproar! Greenpeace local groups are out and about across the UK (and indeed the world) signing people up to become Arctic Defenders ahead of our global day of action on 15th September.
The Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) is broken, and we have the once in a decade chance to fix it. Greenpeace is building an alliance with small scale fishermen to create public support for sustainable fishing methods and political pressure to reform the CFP. Greenpeace volunteers are inviting the public, in the Southeast and Southwest, to sign postcards to MEPs and to text FRIEND to 66777 to get involved.
Lucy Lawless taking action against Shell
Shell is planning to drill in the Arctic signalling the beginning of an oil rush that could cause irreparable harm to this fragile frozen world and its inhabitants. Greenpeace volunteers are visiting Shell petrol stations across the UK, to leaflet customers and staff. Click the link above to email the CEO, download your campaign pack, visit your local Shell petrol station and deliver your letter from Greenpeace today.
The Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) is broken, with 72% of European fish stocks at unsustainable levels. Greenpeace volunteers are collecting personalised messages from the public in the form of images, poems, messages, cartoons, sketches and more. The messages will then be delivered to David Cameron.
If we don’t start moving beyond oil now, the world and costs we pass on to our children will be unbearable. It won't happen overnight – oil is too deeply engrained in the way our world works for it to be a quick change – but there's no need for this race to oil hidden in extreme, remote and dangerous places.
