This year, Greenpeace returns to Glastonbury and it will be massive! But we need a lot of help. Would you like to come with us?We’ll be there with The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, Dinosaur Jr., Django Django, Phoenix and many other amazing bands are playing. So why not join the Greenpeace crew and help save the Arctic? Glastonbury is a big operation and we will need some help (we especially need build and décor crew from early June until the festival opens, and other roles during the event). Here's the list:

  • carpenters and builders,
  • painters and décor people,
  • caterers for crew and public,
  • campaigners, stewards, feature leaders,
  • and; much more besides.

We'll preference those applicants who are signed up Greenpeace local group members. So, if you haven't signed up yet, you can do so here: www.greenpeace.org.uk/groups.

Last year, we fought through the mud to bring our Arctic scene, including “Paula”, our life size and very life like polar bear, to Latitude, WOMAD, Wilderness and Thames festivals, collecting the support of thousands of people who want to see the Arctic protected from greed.

This year, our field at Glastonbury will become an Arctic landscape, in keeping with the global campaign to save the Arctic. But that’s not all:

  • Our Arctic Dome will provide visitors with an amazing immersive Arctic experience that you’ll just have to see for yourself.
  • Our famous (and popular) on-site showers are back – this time complete with hot springs.
  • A farmer’s market will be there to serve healthy local food.
  • The Arctic themed skate ramp will keep things cool (puns ahoy).
  • An oil rig will show the darker side of the Arctic that you can climb as your protest.
  • Our explorer’s camp will form the centrepiece, representing the shrinking Arctic.
  • And the Greenpeace Café will be a place where visitors will be able to hang out with us and learn a bit more about what we do and why we need help.

Our festival season runs from June through to September. Though our plans are still being finalised, we hope to take one or more of our features from Glastonbury to other festivals too.

If you want to apply for Glastonbury or spend an incredible summer season with us click here to send us an email and we will do our best to get back to you soon.
