We had a good stall on 30th March outside City Hall. Thanks also to Monica, Melissa, Ann, Hazel (briefly), Michael and Brian.
We used 'I love Arctic' speech bubbles to recruit arctic defenders. Greenpeace also want us to influence our MPs because there is a summit coming up. Ministers of the eight Arctic Council nations have a meeting in Sweden on 15th May.
On the International I Love Arctic day on Saturday 20th April, we intend to repeat our successful stall at City Hall. But we'd like to have support from our MPs.
Please write to your MP as a concerned constituent. Ask him/her to support the Greenpeace 'I love Arctic' campaign, which is asking for no oil exploration and saving the arctic habitat. Please put it in your own words because your MP works for you!
If he/she is willing to support our stall at the City Hall, that would be superb because he/she could pose with a speech bubble, or maybe we'd arrange a photo opportunity.
If the MP is short of time we could come to him/her. MPs have surgery days and you could make an appointment. If permitted, someone from our Greenpeace group could join in and your MP could then pose with a speech bubble and/or write to our foreign ministers to express our wishes.
You can phone or write to your MP at any time and for any reason. If you write on Greenpeace issues please let me know and we can follow it up for you. (Some MPs aren't as good as they could be at looking after their constituents!)

Hope you have a nice day,  John Wright
