Climate Camp has hit the News!!!

Posted by michael.steven - 14 August 2010 at 12:54pm - Comments
Hi, John asked me to put this on the site. He is currently at Climate Camp in County Tyrone. Climate Camp was featured on the local 6.30pm BBC news on Friday. The Belfast Telegraph also ran an article about Climate Camp last week. Climate Camp can be seen by drivers on the A5, just south of Victoria Bridge.

The youngest there is one month old! John thinks he is possibly the oldest.
It is very well organised and family friendly. Just bring a tent and stay.
The farmers hosting it have spaces for cars, as well as bus arrangements.
John gave a Greenpeace talk on Friday. The Greenpeace monthly meeting followed by a BP action is on Saturday (see the Belfast webpage for more details of the meeting and Climate Camp, John is organising the BP action at the meeting).

John is delighted that people here are fed up with inaction on climate change while our taxes are spent on motorway building.
Peope are drowning in Pakistan, China, Poland and Austria. Climate change is here.
