The all party Parliamentary Committee on Science and Technology has just published a report on the University of East Anglia 'Climategate' affair which has concluded that scientists at the University had no intent to fix data or mislead anyone.
The only criticism made by the MPs on the committee was that the scientists did not readily publish their full raw data, fearing that it would be misrepresented by climate change sceptics, which led to the well-reported suspicions of a cover-up following the illegal hacking and selective quoting of their work email accounts.
Media representation of this case has been misleading and has negatively affected public perceptions about the reality of climate change, so it's important to set the record straight.
