A spade, a tree and George Galloway.....

Posted by squirrel - 25 November 2009 at 8:50pm - Comments

Saturday the 21st November and off go Bethnal Green Greenpeace armed with spades a handful of young farmers, an apple tree, George Galloway our local M.P. and a piece of land known as Airplot.

We are heading off to Spitalfield’s City farm to signify our allegiance with Sipson village by planting an apple tree. It was a beautiful morning and we arrived early to dig our hole for the tree, think we got slightly carried away when we realised how deep and big the hole was! We got asked if it was a grave oooops!!! George arrived shortly and the tree planting was well underway, a few young farmers who are helping build the new tree house at Spitalfields city Farm came along to give George a hand in planting the tree and show that George, the young farmers, Spitalfields farm and of course Bethnal Green Greenpeace all don’t want a third runway at Heathrow!

GO AIRPLOT!!!
