Paulo the Polar Bear

Last weekend Birmingham and Black Country Greenpeace had a presence at Moseley Folk Festival in Moseley Village, Birmingham.

Armed with a polar bear suit, large save the arctic banner and a load of campaign materials we arrived at 11am on the Friday for a 2pm start.

During the course of the weekend we ran two current Greenpeace campaigns: Save the Arctic and the Common Fisheries Policy Reform. Both campaigns went down extremely well with the locals especially with our three polar bear guests; Paul, Paula and Paulo (each having their very own unique personality).

As well as B&BC's volunteers taking on the roles of a Polar Bear we also made plenty of new friends.

After asking the festival goers to sign up to both campaigns we then offered photo opportunities with the Greenpeace Polar bear which most punters grabbed the chance of!

After a fantastic campaign result at Moseley Folk we packed up and went home.

All photos from the festival can be found on our Greenpeace Birmingham and Black Country Facebook page.
