Last week we were invited by Envision to participate and run a stall at their Kick Off event at Aston Villa Football Club. Envision is a youth empowerment charity which supports young people aged 16-19 to take action on issues they are passionate about within their communities.
With 300 young people at the event we decided to have one last push at our Common Fisheries Policy campaign and were able to get a lot of pictures drawn which will be sent off to David Cameron.
We also used the event to start the next phase of the Volkswagen campaign, we had some leaflets with information about Volkswagen’s lobbying against key climate laws in Europe which seemed to surprise a lot of people. You can join the Rebellion against VW here
There were a few other NGOs at the event such as Amnesty and speakers including the Lord Mayor and Gisela Stuart MP.
