The first weekend of September saw us end the summer with one last festival of the year the Moseley Folk Festival. We always enjoy the festival and the people who attend are always receptive to our campaigns. This is our third year at the festival now and this year our main focus was on the Common Fisheries Policy which is currently being reviewed in Europe. Europe's fish stocks are 72% over fished so we can't miss this opportunity to radically reform it. The campaign is aimed at getting people to draw pictures and write about what fish means to them so that we can send them on to David Cammeron to put pressure on him to support the reforms.

We decided to run a little competition during the festival where our ten favourite pictures will be displayed on our Facebook and Flickr pages. We were surprised at how popular this proved to be in getting people to engage with our campaign. We also displayed everyone’s picture next to our stall which seemed to generate a lot of initial interest in what we were doing.

There's always an excellent line up at the festival and this year was no exception with Badly Drawn Boy headlining on Friday, Tinariwen headlining on Saturday and Billy Bragg Headlining the final night. Stornoway were one of my favourites as were Crystal Fighters.
