Those that took part in, or read about our Shellday activities will remember it was a grand day out, with over 500 volunteers protesting outside 57 Shell petrol stations up and down the country. A massive acheivement! On Saturday 22nd September we are organising a large Shell protest in Tunbridge Wells in conjunction with Greenpeace Canterbury, Eastbourne, Worthing and other neighbouring groups - please join us in saving the Arctic! Oh, and bring a picnic ;)
As the number of names on the Arctic Scroll approaches 2 million, it's time to increase the pressure! The Arctic Sea Ice Minimum is a critical moment in Arctic history as it is likely to set a new record low somewhere between the 9th and 14th September. Shells drilling window in the Chukchi Sea ends on September 24th. Now is the time to tell them to scrap their drilling plans!
We will be at the service station on St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9TP, between 11am and 3pm. We will gather in the little car park at the side of St John's Church at 10.45 (that's the side furthest away from the Shell station)
See you there!
