You’ve got to feel a bit sorry for Amnesty Bristol. For a second year their main Bristol fundraiser -Goldney Garden Party - was hit by heavy rain. This did affect attendance numbers but the various charity stalls carried on regardless.
Greenpeace were publicising a global day of action for the Arctic on 15th September. The sea ice at the top of the world is melting to record lows and oil companies like Shell are lining up to exploit the fragile Arctic. As the ice reaches its lowest point of the year, the movement to save the Arctic will come together in an epic parade through central London.
Aurora will be the focus – she is a giant (double-decker bus sized) people-powered polar bear and your signature can be part of her fur...
