I'm sitting in the relative warmth of the Tobacco Factory bar, inputting names and email addresses that are being fed to me by a stalwart team who have braved the rain and cold at the Tobacco Factory Sunday Market to get last minute signatures for the Save the Arctic campaign. Despite the inclement weather it is great to see a good number of customers who are supporting the variety of local traders who are selling foodstuffs and crafts. Also heartening that many are prepared to stop and sign our sheets in a bid to hit the 3 million target by midnight. These names will be placed on the Arctic Scrolll and placed on the bottom of the sea bed of the Arctic along with the winning design of the Flag for the Future. Somehow I think I may have got the more comfortable job - in the warm, downing my coffee and having the occasional bite into a delicious chocolate brownie! Hey it's a job that's got to be done!
Well done, Fi, Lauren, Iain, Madeleine, and Julia for spending a few key hours gaining those last minute signatures. Thanks Fi for helping out with inputting the data.
Update: Over 150 signatures acquired and input.
