Jamboree

Greenpeace Bristol East went along to a local jamboree to help the Scouts with their Environment Badges.  The scouts were great fun and seemed to enjoy the tasks and games we set up.  These included a treasure hunt, recycling quiz, bean planting, word searches, drawing and colouring.

In the afternoon we had some free time whilst the scouts were in the tuck shop and swimming.  We'd all taken a bit too much sun so decided to practise our mackerel-themed rehearsal for "Britain's Got Talent".  Greenpeace are using the mackerel to draw attention to our campaign to adjust the Common Fisheries Policy.  We want a fair catch for sustainable fishermen.

Thank you to Gordano Scouts for letting us dance around their field with our giant fish.

And thank you to the Fisherman's Friends for use of their Greenpeace sea shanty!
