Greenpeace at Whitehall Primary School

In my role as the local 'Greenspeaker' I spent the morning at Whitehall Primary School giving talks to two Year 2 classes with about 30 children in each class. Sue from our East Bristol group came along to help and also to dress up as a polar bear to make things more interesting. The children were aged between 6 and 7 and I had prepared a special talk with a PowerPoint which included pictures, video and some simple exercise sheets which they did in pairs. The children were a delight, interested, responsive and surprisingly well informed. Both sessions lasted about 55 minutes and Sue I felt it went well and the comments from the teachers were all very positive.
