I have loved the recent blogs on the fact that there seem to be too many guys called Dave in the Greenpeace movement.  Well in our neck of the woods (Bristol East) we are continually getting confused by the number of Richards in the organisation.  Sadly that befuddlement is about to be eased a little as our digital guru from Canonbury Villas, Richard Martin, moves East to weave his network magic for Greenpeace Asia.  Here at Bristol East we are certainly going to miss his wise words of advice and encouragement as we continue to use the IT gadgety things that have become very much a part of our campaigning work.

I know when I first started blogging for Greenpeace just over two years ago, Lauren T,  from our group showed me the ropes on how the local webpage works but Richard was instrumental in solving initial problems and giving me confidence to try new things.  We are lucky to have a keen team of bloggers who are proud of what our healthy and popular local webpage has achieved over the past year.  Richard M has been great support and has always encouraged us to extend our IT skills with video-blogging, Facebooking and tweeting.  Carol D is certainly grateful for advice on the latter.

So a huge thank you, Richard, for your support over the past couple of years and our very best wishes for the exciting challenges that lay ahead - from Bristol East Greenpeace.  Keep in touch ... how can you not with all this IT stuff!
