Aurora Is Coming??, Location to be confirmed, Bristol and London, United Kingdom, BS1
15 September, 2013 - 00:01 - 11:59

Saturday 15th September. Aurora is coming! A Global Day of Action to Save the Arctic.

The sea ice at the top of the world is melting to record lows and oil companies like Shell are lining up to exploit the fragile Arctic. As the ice reaches its lowest point of the year, the movement to save the Arctic will come together in an epic parade through central London. Aurora will be the focus – she is a giant (double-decker bus sized) people-powered polar bear and your signature can be part of her fur and we will be collecting more signatures and signing up Arctic Defenders during the next four weeks at various events around Bristol.

On the day lots of memebrs of East Bristol Greenpeace will be making their way to London to be part of the parade. If you would like to take part please contact Richard Lancaster r.lancaster@blueyonder.co.uk and he will put you in contact with them so you can travel up to London together if you would like to.

That's all you need to know at this stage. Put the date in your phone, on your calendar, Facebook it, Tweet it. Make sure you are there!
