CAMPAIGN MESSAGE NO SHELL -WAITROSE LINK

The Bristol GREENPEACE Group campaigned outside the "Little Waitrose" 85 Queen's Road,Clifton BS8 1QS from 12midday -2pm Saturday 1st December 2012 to expose the relationship announced 11th September 2012 between WAITROSE, a company perceived by its customers as ethical, and Shell, with the aim of persuading  Waitrose, that to continue with such a partnership would cause damage to their currently well respected brand. In that short spell many Waitrose customers on exiting the store agreed by placing a shell sticker on our grid "The Arctic matters - show Waitrose you want them to dump Shell". .

An explanatory letter was handed to the manager at the start of today's campaign action. [ENDS]
