It is well documented that the environment is being seriously damaged as China strives to become a new economic powerhouse.  The Detox campaign aims to highlight that 70% of China's rivers, lakes and reservoirs are affected by water pollution and the manufacture of many of the everyday things we buy in the shops do contribute to this disasterous environmental problem.  Did you know that the manufacturers of clothing and sportswear who produce goods for Adidas and Nike are pouring hazardous chemicals into the Chinese watercourses?  However, these hugely profitable companies have the money and power to ensure that their products are environmentally friendly.

By working with their suppliers to eliminate the use and release of all hazardous chemicals in their supply chains and products, these brands can detox our sportswear, detox our water, and detox our future.

Puma has started the Detox challenge by publicly committing to eliminate all releases of hazardous chemicals from its entire product lifecycle and across its whole supply chain by 2020.

Question: Why didn't the UK get involved in this? But more importantly why didn't Bristol join in?

Er ... um ... on reflection perhaps we ought to stick to what we do best (keeping our clothes on)!!
