Food, Inc.

MONDAY 15th FEBRUARY -A preview showing at the VUE cinema LONGWELL GREEN then at the WATERSHED  as detailed below

Dir: Robert Kenner 2008 USA 94 mins
screenings from:
Fri 19 - Thu 25 Feb
Book Tickets

A stomach-churning expose on America's food industry, an industry controlled not by farmers but by a handful of corporations that often put profit
before health, the livelihood of farmers, the safety of workers and the environment. Extending the work mof nutritionists, journalists and activists such
as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) and Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma), it brings to to light some shocking truths on what people eat, how
it's produced, and where to go from here. Cheap corn is fed to cows who havhen't evolved to eat it, new strains of E. coli are being found in spinach
and lettuce, the egg-to-death life of a chicken is just six weeks.. this is tough watching - scarier than any horror film you'll see - but essentially
viewing. You are, truly, what you eat.

AT THE WATERSHEAD BRISTOL.

The 13:00hrs Sun 21 Feb screening will be followed by a panel dmiscussion led by Alastair Sawday presented by Festival of Ideas and Soil
Association.
