last months meeting

The feb meeting was held as usual on the first wednesday of the month

this month we discussed what we could do to highlight  the UN year of biodiversity. If you have any ideas to bring to next months meeting do come along with them.

 We celebrated the fact that Lundy island is now the country's first marine reserve.

the marine reserves are vital to maintaining fish stocks and preserving biodiversity.

do have a look at Greenpeace's oceans campaign.

Marine conservancy council has loads of information about sustainable fishing and an the good fish guide is an invaluable help when at the supermarket.

we again welcomed new members and had a interesting and fact filled talk on deforestation among the general business of the evening.
