This session with a lively & enquiring  group of "A" level students proved well worth the trip to this beautifully set country located school - it is remote from public transport, and isolated from the immediate village.

These students came from widely dispersed villages and had first hand knowledge & experiences of the local public transport system ,especially the cost of fares - being of the age when bus companies treat them as adults . They feel this is unfair discrimination and are considering action in the form of a campaign to gain some concessions as out of school work is handicapped by excessive bus fares, specifically trips to Bristol where there is the best chance of Saturday & vacation part time work.

They were actively engaged with the basic requirements for setting up a campaign and focussed on the means to an end..

My thanks to Katie for inviting me, and Maggie for the lift there and back.

I look forward to a future session .
