We are gearing up for a great week of fund-raising culminating in a benefit gig on Friday 20th May, headlined by Seize The Day - a local band that has a national reputation and has supported Greenpeace's principles over the years.
"Seize The Day make music that celebrates direct action to defend our environment and our communities, and we're proud to be helping raise funds for Rainbow Warrior III - a legendary vessel defending our oceans from exploitation," says lead-singer Theo Simon.
"This gig at the Polish Club will also be a great chance to try out some new material before we play at Glastonbury Festival in 4 weeks time."
The radical somerset band, who have just released their new CD "Standing Strong", will be playing on the Greenpeace and Small World stages in Green Futures during this years festival on Worthy Farm. You can hear the band online at www.seizetheday.org
Seize the Day will be supported by "Cazal" and Blues singer, Paul Bristow.
Tickets available on the door at £6 each. Bar available. The evening will also include information on the crucial contribution Rainbow Warror has made in protecting the marine environment. Don't miss out on a great evening.
