Greenpeace swimmers & Cairn Energy

There are many 'conspiracy theories' however the one that says climate change is NOT happening is the most dangerous - and the fact that humans have caused these changes, and are continuing to do so, with the agreements of banks and business and governments - is one of the most disgraceful situations we can all find ourselves in. The UK government has recently agreed to emissions reduction yet includes Nuclear and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) which is, as yet, NOT available, so money for new renewables - which would increase our abilities to create our own energy - are sucked away into promoting new nuclear...after Fukushima, where it is now agreed all three reactors melted, this seems a most extraordinary and dangerous choice.....come and discuss with us.....

'Confidential UK government documents acquired by Greenpeace and released today reveal that the British foreign office believes any oil spill in Arctic waters would be impossible to deal with.' Quote;'Fears that an Arctic spill would be difficult if not impossible to clean up were confirmed in an email exchange between the British Foreign Office and the energy secretary, Chris Huhne, that was obtained by Greenpeace under freedom of information legislation. Officials briefed Huhne, saying: "It is difficult to get assistance in case of pollution problems in such areas, and near impossible to make good damage caused." from http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2011/may/24/danish-commandoes-greenpeace-arctic-oil?CMP=twt_fd
