On a bitterly cold Saturday, five Bromley Greenpeace members set up stall opposite our local Morrison's in Queensway, Petts Wood and had a great time signing 40 postcards to various local MPs. Staff at Morrison's looked over their shoulders at the stall....but it was BP's drilling in the unspoiled Arctic and their deciion to go ahead with Tar Sands which held people's interest.

Thanks to Barbara, Jane, Julie, Roisin and Ann for the table, for braving the cold and making our first visit to Petts Wood such a success. We will be going ther individually during the coming weeks.

Julie took a photo which I will post here as soon as I get it.

Next meeting is at the regular place, O'Neil's, 9 High Street, Beckenham, from 7.30 on Tuesday 15th February, Ann Garrett will be chairing the meeting.

Hope to see you all on the streets with this very important campaign - the Government is now going to debate the Energy Bill in April, so it gives us more time for people to let their MPs know their views on the plans to spend $ Millions on Nuclear power, with no CO2 emission limits on new coal-fired power stations and a general 'watered down' Green funding to renewable industries.

Please have a browse round the main website to find out more and make your voices heard in the debate..... hope to see you all soon,

Roisin
