It’s a BIG day out in Bromley THIS Saturday with two Polar Bears and volunteers from three nearby groups coming into our town to help us raise awareness of the pristine Arctic and the threats caused by Oil, mining and fishing to this unique habitat.
We are all meeting up at the Market Square – near the pump and the HG Wells Mural – at 11.30, to get into costume, find our roles and get up-to-date information about this stage of the campaign.
We need your help too – Bromley has a population of about 320,000 people – and as we only have a small group at present, we are hoping to boost numbers so we can be more effective.
We NEED you there! This I Y Arctic phase includes taking pictures with people holding up Arctic speech bubbles, which we will upload to the Greenpeace flickr website, taking their names and permissions, guiding the bears and manning the stall, so there is a lot to do and many different roles to be active in.
Bromley is one of the longest-running Greenpeace groups in the South of London and with help from Southwark, Croydon, Greenwich and Kingston – plus borrowing the Polar Bear from Canterbury group – we should make a difference to the High Street.
It would be good to see you all there….let’s work together to keep Bromley as a successful and active Greenpeace group….if we don’t Save the Arctic, who will?
