Rainbow Warrior 3 - Coming to London!

Another busy few weeks ahead!

In brief...

  • Thursday 20th October, 7pm, 'interesting' toy campaign activity
  • Sunday 23rd October, 12-4pm, CFP Campaign Stall at the Bloomsbury Festival
  • Tuesday 8th November, 7pm, Camden Greenpeace Monthly Meeting
  • Saturday 12th / Sunday 13th November, Rainbow Warrior, West Inda Docks

And in detail...

Thursday 20th October, 7pm, 'interesting' toy campaign activity. After Mattel and Barbie  finally gave in to our demands for them to stop wrapping their toys in destroyed rainforest, we're keeping up the pressure on Hasbro and Disney. If you think you know what this activity is about, and you'd like to be involved, then get in touch - neiljones78@gmail.com Sorry for the vagueness!

Sunday 23rd October (NOT Saturday as originally planned), 12-4pm, please join us to help man our campaign stall at the Bloomsbury Festival. We'll be part of 'The Big Sunday Lunch' on Lamb's Conduit Street, organised by the People's Supermarket as part of the Bloomsbury Festival. We'll be campaigning for a radical reform of the Common Fisheries Policy, urging the government to end discards, follow the scientists’ advice on fish stocks and stop corruption. We need your help to inspire visitors to our stall to write or draw messages to the Prime Minister urging him to support the reforms we need. To volunteer, contact me at neiljones78@gmail.com

Saturday 12th / Sunday 13th November, Greenpeace's brand new flagship, the Rainbow Warrior 3, is coming to London! And all you active supporters are invited to go for a special tour. You can register here http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/rwiii2011 After all your hard work helping Camden Greenpeace to raise £1000 to help build the ship, you should definitely go on down to see how your money and hard work was spent. Going on board a Greenpeace ship is awesomely inspiring, so if you haven't yet got involved with the group, this is the ideal opportunity. Here's what happened when the ship's predecessor came to London in 2009

If you haven't already, check out Tali's blog and Antonio's video of our day at the Belsize Green Fair a couple of weeks ago.

And finally, have you signed the Common Fisheries Policy letter to David Cameron? If not, you can do it here now: http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/SeasInCrisis

If I've missed anything out, please add it below as a comment.

Cheers,

Neil
