What We Do Best

Tim T, Theo and I were down at yesterday's action at the Department for Transport.

The place was closed for about 6 hours. The Transport Minister should have the message now: that we can't import massively polluting oil from the Canadian Tar Sands, nor can the British Government arrange clandestine deals and lobbying to support destructive business practices at the cost of our environment.

A great success and thanks to the Police for the exemplary way they handled the situation.

Here's a clip of Ben, a former Canterbury member, locked in a car for 7 hours, then carted off to klink. Well done, Ben, you are an inspiration.

I thought your action and demo were very well organised indeed.  Exemplary conduct all round and clear messages in your leaflets.   Made an impact on me, I do wish that you had been given more coverage by the media.   As a middle class male (sorry about that!) I do find your style of action far more engaging than the St Paul's effort with its physical and intellectual sloppiness, mess, drugs etc.  Keep up the work on the environmental issues, sadly we are losing sight of these with the focus on economic problems

Thanks Pete, let's hope the message gets through to Norman Baker at the DforT.
