Cut letter

Posted by NigelBaker - 23 July 2010 at 9:00pm - Comments

Jan Morgan's letter of the 20th July tells us yet again that she doesn't like windturbines
or in this case 'industrial' wind turbines (it's difficult to imagine 'organic' ones!).
Having tried in vain last year to scare us all with low frequency noise she now
tells us of trees being felled to build them supported by gulp! Friends of the Earth
Cymru....I can't speak for them but I never cease to be amazed by Jan Morgan and
her ilk simply being unable to recognise that those of us who oppose nuclear
energy and believe in renewables are prepared to campaign for and support their
installation, not run away because there may be consquences from in this instance, wind turbines.
Apart from being able to see them the windy nimbies have never been able to find
anything else 'wrong' with wind turbines, they are not on their own the answer but in conjunction
with other renewables and energy efficiency are an excellent form of energy generation.
I would suggest she visit the Gulf of Mexico to see real environmental damage caused by our greed
for oil-not to mention Baghdad or comong soon Tehran.
But that doesn't involve windfarms so she couldn't care less....

Above is the full length version of my letter in the Western Mail of 23rd July-obviously too direct and to the point fro the dear old WM to publish!
