Rhiwbina, Polar Bears and Icebergs
Saturday 1st of December saw Greenpeace activists from Cardiff and Swansea visit Rhiwbina and raise awareness on saving the Arctic. Joining with other NGO's we attended the Rhiwbina Christmas Festival where the United Reformed Church were holding themed presentations on how the Arctic is under threat like never before. Strolling around Heol Y Deri we got cheers and smiles from the crowd and we were also able to engage people about the somewhat toxic relationsip between Shell and Waitrose. A special thank you to Eileen Newington and the Rev. Peter Crutchly Jones for allowing us to have a stall right by the church altar(!) and for more information on saving the Arctic and Shell and Waitrose go to:http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/waitrose?utm_source=website&utm_medium=carousel&utm_term=arctic&utm_campaign=waitrose
