Just to let everyone know that this group has been newly formed and is currently under construction. We are a breakaway group for Durham (and environs) residents and have split from the larger Tyne and Wear group. We got fed up of meeting in Newcastle all the time, when there are so many good pubs in Durham (!) Seriously though, we do intend to support each other in future events, but we reckon that there's enough Greenpeace goodness out there in Durham to make a local group more than worthwhile. (Please feel free to prove me right on that one)
So don't worry, you'll be hearing more about the activities of Durham Greenpeace in the months to come..

I'm a student based in Alnwick, but I'd be able to travel to Durham easily, and I'm really keen on getting involved, so just let me know if there are any plans up ahead...!

Likewise, just joined and am keen to find out what's going on. At first glance there doesn't appear to have been much going on with GP Durham over the past 12 months. I live in Teesside and am wondering whether I should be looking towards Scarborough instead! Regards to all, Liam
