getting ready for 26 long, long miles

We have some last minute places in the Brighton Marathon 2012, if you would like to have a shot at this amazing 'London by the Sea' race then let me know TODAY! Well, tomorrow! The closing date is 1st March and the race is on the 15th April. It’s a great way to raise money for Greenpeace and here are two people who are running marathons for Greenpeace to help get you in the mood:

http://ruislip.uxbridgegazette.co.uk/jamess-marathon/ James is running with his own place, in London this year - he has been training really well and raised £275 so far for Greenpeace - but as you can see from his blogs the life of a marathon runner is never straightforward!  Thanks James - keep running!

http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/groups/york/blog/diary-greenpeace-marathon-runner-part-3 Richard is part of our York group and is also running a marathon this year for Greenpeace - he has also faced some serious uphill struggles but enjoys regaling us with stories of how he overcomes the fatigue that can so easily set in - esp. at this point in the training before such a big race! Don't stop now Rich - we are all behind you!

Hope to hear from any budding long distance runners - you can call me on 0800 269065 or email fundraising.uk@greenpeace.org you can also fill in this form -

In return for all your efforts and hard earned donations we promise to make sure we do our best to help protect incredibly fragile and beautiful places like the Arctic from the damaging work of oil companies like Shell.

Go on - what are you waiting for - we need your support today!

If you have any questions you know what to do - I am on 020 7865 8236 or 0800 269065 and fundraising.uk@greenpeace.org

If you don’t want to run but want to support our runners let me know that too - I can always use more people cheering our wonderful teams on, on the day!

Happy running!

Issy
