1460+ NATIVE TREE'S PLANTED IN COVENTRY

Posted by BeckyJane - 9 December 2009 at 10:51am - 0 Comments

Thank you to all of you who got involved over the two day event-

21st NOVEMBER 2009

The £525 raised enabled members of Coventry Greenpeace, FOE, CRACIN and transition Coventry to plant 960 trees (all native) in Coundon Park. 5 of these were Cox's apple (see air plot campaign) along with some crab apple and wild pear. Congratulations to all who managed to help during this day, was hard work but we got there (just before the rain hit us!).

5th December 2009

BBC Breathing places Tree O'Clock day (see link on home page).

Tim Rose (Tree manager) managed to get a further 500 trees which were planted alongside those from the day above, IN ONE HOUR! So well done to all those who helped as this was definatly an achievement and yet again was done just before the rain hit.

WELL DONE ALL.
