Greenpeace Activists from all over the UK converged on London and Edinburgh yesterday in one of the most sustained direct actions ever seen in the UK. Some croydon members were thought to have borne witness to these events. Trained activists swooped on most of the sHELL Stations within the M25. Of the 104 London garages GREENPEACE supporters shut down 77 of sHELLs forecourts. Highly motivated teams of OIL SPILL PREVENTION UNIT activists went in, high vis jackets blazing, and dismantled fire safety pump shut down switches before chaining up pump nozzles and then posting the switch parts to the head of arctic drilling (may he freeze in sHELL).

Activists cunningly used a variety of get away cars, public transport and bORIS bikes to elude detection and the long arm of the law, although this long arm did manage to detain a polar bear and a few activists unlucky enough to shut down garages just as the boys in blue stumbled by. sHAME!!!

Otherwise an alleged plan seems to have been almost seemless. Some forecourts were recommisioned using allegedly illegal techniques to bipasss the safety shut off switches in order to continue pumping fuel into consumers tanks. If you are one of these consumers you might want to BEAR in mind the safety implications of any fuel station with no effective pump shut off in the event of fire. O)h well how we lubricate the wheels of commerce without a care in the world....

Needless to say that after such a successfolk day many activists are rumoured to have converged around some drinks to celebrate.

If you were there I salute you. May you forever be spared from sHELL
