Wonderful Communication Action at Nestlé

Posted by Richard Griffiths - 30 March 2010 at 1:49pm - Comments

On Wednesday the 17th March around 20 protesters surrounded the Nestle tower in Central Croydon. Others were involved but only in a support role. They were there to show the management of Nestlé that they objected to the destruction of peatlands on Indonesia which are the habitat for Orang-0utangs. Nestle conceded that they would no longer buy palm-oil from Sinar Mas but have not gone far enough in their policies of sourcing this material.

As a result Greenpeace are continuing their campaign and the Croydon group will support their efforts to persuade Nestlé to stop using unsustainable Palm-oil. This is a call to action- so please contact me if you wish to take part personally in our follow up campaign during the month of April.

Richard.
