Greenpeace Active Suppoters in Buxton joined forces with Transition Buxton and local church members on Saturday 12th December, to send messages to world leaders in Copenhagen.
The event in Buxton was one of thousands across the world, timed to coincide with the mid-point of the two week climate change meeting in Copenhagen. People gathered to write messages to world leaders, demanding a real deal that will be fair and binding. Not the sort of deal where clever carbon trading arrangements allow rich countries carry on polluting as usual. In the evening peiople gathered with candles for a vigil.
