This was our first film showing at the Forest Cafe in what we hope to be a series of film events in Edinburgh. Despite only a few days notice, and some confusion with the venue over the event possibly being cancelled, we had quite a few people show up to watch the film. The documentary we showed, ‘Into Eternity’, was about the underground nuclear storage facility at Onkalo in Finland, explaining just some of the very real dangers around the issue of storing nuclear waste which will continue to be harmful to people, animals and the environment for over 100,000 years.

In May we will be holding another film showing at the Forest for ‘Crude: The Real Price of Oil’. Please do come along and get involved – it’s a great chance to come and meet your local Greenpeace group in a relaxed and informal setting.

Many thanks to Fabio for organising a great first film night in Edinburgh.
