Last Wednesday 24th April Greenpeace Edinburgh took themselves along to the Sighthill Campus of Napier University to promote one of Greenpeace's current campaigns - Save the Arctic. Special guest star was our very friendly polar bear who made a great job of getting students interested in having photos taken with him and sporting an " I love Arctic " speech bubble.

The Arctic ice is melting fast, over 70 % of the summer ice is gone already . Rather than seeing this as a dire warning of a changing climate, oil and fishing companies are already haggling over who can get in there first to exploit the area of its oil and fish supplies. Greenpeace is working hard to have the whole of the High Arctic declared a Global Commons, belonging to all life on Earth and protected from disasterous drilling and over fishing. You can find out lots more at savethearctic.com

Thank you to all the lovely Students and staff at Napier for supporting our fight and providing us with such happy photos. And a special Thank you to Pavlina for inviting us along.
