It was another lovely fresh day at Edinburgh farmer’s market with the delicious aromas of fresh bread and frying onions in the air. Our Greenpeace stall was nestled happily between the said fresh bread and bagels, and some very wholesome and exciting looking organic homemade chocolate. The occasional cries of “ Come and get your hot chocolate here – its chocolate and its hot !! “ brought a smile to my face every time.

Again we received a good response to our VW campaign and thanks to a bit of friendly competition from our French and Italian volunteers, a very respectable numbers of signatures were collected. As always, Some interesting conversations were had and there were some surprised reactions to VW’s activities behind closed doors !

Although face painting activities were at a minimum this time as the majority of the few children that were there already had various sticky substances painted on their faces,( maybe a stall before the patisserie would be good!) there were a few more Dalmatian puppies going home than had arrived.

All in all another successful and enjoyable day at the market getting the Greenpeace message out there !
