The Edinburgh Greenpeace group have now officially made our annual Pub Quiz, well, rather more bi-annual. On Wednesday 6th June, we held our very first Summer Quiz, in our usual location of the (newly refurbished!) Beehive Inn on Grassmarket.
I'm the first one to bagsy the questions box whenever Trivial Pursuit comes out, but I'd never thought about writing a quiz before. Being a quizmaster was so much fun!
The questions covered a range of topics from nature and the environment to literature and current affairs. Sam and I did wonder if the questions were too hard or too easy – how can you guess what other people know? However, the spread seemed to keep both puzzling looks and smiles throughout the room, and we were pleased to announce a clear winning team at the end.
We had some fantastic prizes on offer for both the quiz and the raffle - mostly thanks to very generous donations from both the Beehive Inn, who gave us vouchers for the pub, and from Lush, who loaded us with a great number of scrumptious-looking prizes for all your animal-friendly cosmetics needs.
