Alison organised our annual Pub Quiz, which was held upstairs at the Beehive Inn. It was, as always, a fun evening, and an impressive turn out, despite the heavy rain.
Sam and I arrived soaking wet to a packed out room full of several teams of keen quizzers. To one side, there was a fantastic array of prizes up for grabs for both the quiz and a raffle. Imogen introduced the evening and said a little bit about Greenpeace, then Alison took the microphone and we got started. Several rounds later, the scores were read out, and, as it turned out, we lost (even though we had thought we were doing all right). Ah well, we had fun! Afterwards, there was an enormous and extremely generous collection of prizes to get through for the raffle, so I think pretty much everyone won something. We won an energy efficient lightbulb! The night definitely ended on a high.
Massive pat on the back to everyone who came along and helped to make it such a success … we all raised £110! Special thanks to those who brought their friends along and who went into shops to ask for prizes and display posters around town. Huge and enormous thanks to Alison, who wrote a fantastic quiz and made the whole night happen!
