The VW campaign is drawing to a close in the UK so we took our group's remaining action cards to the east end of Princes Street on Sunday. A glorious, but chilly, day. People clearly had other things on their minds - shopping, football, Rock 'n' Roll marathons - but we engaged with a fair number and added another 29 action cards to the 13,000 already sent to VW managers across the UK. And we encouraged more people to join half a million Jedi who have joined the Rebellion online.
The message would seem to be getting through. At a motor show in Madrid last month, VW announced improvements to its cars that will reduce emissions. But the company still won't back tougher EU efficiency targets and, for that reason, the Rebellion continues internationally until VW actually becomes the green car company it claims to be.
