Shell is about to start drilling for oil in the Arctic. They plan to take advantage of the melting ice, and their ‘drilling window’ has just opened. To stop them Greenpeace has taken action at sea, in the courts, in parliament and at petrol stations across the UK. Now we need your help.
Greenpeace volunteers and active supporters all across the world are organising peaceful, legal protests at Shell petrol stations. We’d very much like you to join us on for our local protest.
Meet outside Shell Bowmac at 19-21 Glasgow Road, Edinburgh EH12 8HW at 10:45
Protest starts at 11am* and will continue for some time afterwards, including visiting several different Shell locations around Edinburgh
Finish time: Around 3pm* but this depends on numbers and energy levels!

*If you can only spare 1-2 hours that’s fine. You being there and taking part will make a difference.
If you’ve never taken part in an event like this, then don’t worry. This is a safe, easy and legal way to get involved in Greenpeace campaigning. We won’t be asking you to chain yourself to anything, simply to spend a couple of hours protesting – holding banners and placards, handing out leaflets and talking to passers-by.
They’ll be more information on the day. A mix of new and old people, and a campaign briefing before we start.
Please come, bring friends and family, and help us #tellshell to ditch their Arctic drilling plans.
