Yorkshire network meets Ed Miliband

Posted by jom - 24 September 2009 at 5:31pm - Comments
On September 12th, a lovely sunny day, a team of 10 Yorkshire activists surprised Ed Miliband at his morning constituency surgery in Bentley, Doncaster. They built a big IF, handed over a pile of Big IF pledge cards and gave out leaflets about the coal campaign to the public. Richard explained to him that the government's policy on building new coal fired power stations is not strong enough, as CCS is an unproven technology which would still allow them to emit 75% of their CO2. We only have 77 months to stop runaway climate change and CO2 emissions need to be cut hard now.  Well done to the hard working Yorkshire network!
