Harrogate Greenpeace Campaign Group September meeting

Posted by mikelowndes - 15 October 2012 at 7:33am - Comments

It was a lively meeting with Sue(chair) Deirdre, Ann, Cath, Jean, Joan, Paul and Stuart  all present. We discussed every  part of the September "News for networkers" that is relevant to our group.

Advertising and fundraising.

We have suffered two disappointing events recently. Our coffee morning was not well attended and we concluded that there was too much competition on the day. The weather was so awful in York that we didn't even get there for the 2nd event. Well you can't "win em all".

Sue and Dee set up a display in the children's section of Knaresborough library the week of the meeting. It must be dismantled on Monday 24th.

Our next fundraiser is The Saltaire Peace Fair run by Bradford CND on 17th November.

Actions

Izzy and the York group had the 2nd Shell action on 22nd September.

Sue and Dee  (clearly our power duo) collected a great number of signatures for the fisheries policy at The Sealife Centre, Scarborough.

Next Meeting
Wednesday 17th October.
