Recent events
We had a very successful day at Knaresborough's Christmas Fair on 2nd December.
The Polar bear costume was a great hit with the public and he managed to collect an amazing £116 in his tins. It really conveyed the message about the Arctic so well. The stall itself took £84. Many thanks to all who helped on the day.
An appeal
We need lots of bric a brac to sell on our stalls this year, so please contact Sue 01423 546684 if you have any unwanted items.
Events
The group will be taking part in a Street collection in York on Sat 23rd March. If anyone would like to help please contact Sue.
On 30th March we will be having a stall at Knaresborough's Easter Fair - again contact Sue if you have things for the Stall or could help for an hour.
We are going to have a stall at Otley's Green Fair on 13th April.
So already the events calendar is filling up!
The Arctic
Our campaign work about the Arctic has recently been very successful. Cath Burton, who works at St Aidan's school in Harrogate took five assemblies and spoke to about 1000 pupils about the Flag for the Future- all about raising awareness of the need to make the Arctic a sanctuary against oil exploting companies.
